Good morning...

Overall...

Yesterday was a pretty good day for all the systems and ratings.

It was especially good for the new Portfolio Betting service with 4.5472 points profit to the 5 points staked.

It's been a good start to the month for that service as on Monday we had 1.3718 points profit to the 4 points staked.

So, nicely in profit for the month so far.

The screenshot below is from the independently proofed results (to a 2% commission and advised stakes) at Racing Index.

The bug that I thought I had recently fixed has raised its head again and, as a result, I've not being getting notifications of requests for Free Trails of Focus Ratings.

I shall be manually going through the backlog of these today.

Task List...

In order to be honest and truly transparent with you...

I will now be publishing my task list on the Morning News.

You will be able to see what I am working on and, more importantly, what progress I am making.

Here are the current tasks...

T01). Work out a number of strategies to utilise R9 and provide Focus Rating members free Portfolio Betting selections across a number of different betting strategies (win backing, place backing, dutching, laying and,
the other thing that I described that I don't know what it is called) on a daily basis.

T02). For Compass Ratings, display, on screen and via a email PDF, the twice weekly updated trainer/jockey win/place strike rates.

T03). For Compass Ratings, complete the eBook that explains all the weird and wonderful things that I have learned about Hong Kong Horse racing.

T04). Complete PaperTradeIt.com - a free site where you can privately log your bets and get Strike Rate, POI (to ISP and BSP) data and losing run analysis on those bets.

I'm trying to knock off the easy/quick jobs first in order to reduce the size of the list; the size of the list scares me sometimes and, believe me, I have twice as many jobs on the Admin/BAU (Business As Usual - things like automated scripts, backups and server log file analysis - stuff that all website owners have to do) task list to get through as well.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 51.46 units returned to 106 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -51.45%

Top Rated Horse - There were 11 winners from the top rated horses from 36 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 26.75 units returned to 36 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -25.69%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the second rated horses from 33 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 14.13 units returned to 33 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -57.18%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the third rated horses from 37 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 10.58 units returned to 37 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -71.41%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 12 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 5 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 41.67%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 9.45 units returned to 12 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -21.25%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 12 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 8 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 66.67%

Brian called home one afternoon to see what his wife was making for dinner.

"Hello?" said a little girl's voice.

"Hi, honey, it's Daddy," said Brian. "Is mommy near the phone?"

"No, Daddy. She's upstairs in the bedroom with uncle Frank."

After a brief pause, Brian said, "But you don't have an Uncle Frank, honey!"

"Yes I do. He's upstairs in the bedroom with Mommy!"

"Okay, then. Here's what I want you to do. Put down the phone, run upstairs, knock on the bedroom door and shout in to Mommy and Uncle Frank that my car just pulled up outside the house."

"Okay, Daddy!"

A few minutes later, the little girl came back to the phone. "Well, I did what you said, Daddy."

"And what happened?"

"Well, Mommy jumped out of bed with no clothes on and ran around screaming, then she tripped over the rug and went out the front window and now she's all dead."

"Oh my god! What about Uncle Frank?"

"He jumped out of bed with no clothes on too and he was all scared and he jumped out the back window into the swimming pool, but he must have forgot that you took out all the water last week to clean it, so he hit the bottom of the swimming pool, and now he's dead too."

There was a long pause, then Brian said, "Swimming pool? Is this 0171 703 904?"
