Good morning...

During the weekend...

I did some analysis of what happens if a horse is selected by more than one system that is based upon Focus Ratings/Advance Ratings.

It is early days but initial analysis shows a 50% strike rate for those horses.

More importantly, if you take the R9 top rated horse that shows the highest R9 of the day (from all R9 top rated horses) then the strike rate is 66.66%

Now, I need to analyse far more races and this will take some time; I hope to have a spreadsheet to show you later this week.

What is more interesting is the performance of the top 3 top rated (R8 rated races) horses every day.

Just by browsing through the spreadsheet of these horses it seems that, although we have the occasional losing day, we don't seem to have many losing weeks.

This potential strategy is what I shall be concentrating on today.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 40.25 units returned to 76 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -47.04%

Top Rated Horse - There were 8 winners from the top rated horses from 26 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 26.74 units returned to 26 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 2.85%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the second rated horses from 25 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 9.01 units returned to 25 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -63.96%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 1 winners from the third rated horses from 25 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 4.5 units returned to 25 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -82%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 13 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 3 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 23.08%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 5.78 units returned to 13 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -55.54%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 13 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 5 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 38.46%
