Good morning...

Firstly, I would like to apologise to those of you who were affected with yesterday's update to my new client management system.

It appears that a few of you had your accounts locked and, as a result, didn't receive your ratings/selections.

From what I have deduced, this only happened to those of you who have cancelled your subscription and then re-subscribed (perhaps if your credit/debit card details have changed.)

I believe that I am now on top of the situation and, even though it's a lot of hassle for me (and the few of you who have been affected), long term it will be a god send for me as the new system works as a virtual personal assistant and will save me loads of time.

Moving on...

Another astounding day for the Place Selections for the Focus Ratings R9 Portfolio Bets.

This selects the best 5 Place Bets from the day's R9 Rated selections. These are bet to a total 10 points stake but the individual stakes are calculated to bet according to the individual Reward/Risk Ratios.

Thus, more money is staked on those bets which will give you more return for a lower risk.

Race 1 - Thirsk - 13:00 - Clodeva (Place Bet) - 3.09 Points - NR
Race 2 - Brighton - 13:50 - Gherkin (Place Bet) - 2.30 Points - 6th (2.30 points loss)
Race 5 - Tipperary - 17:00 - Harmony Rose (Place Bet) - 1.78 Points - 2nd @ 2.22 (2.1281 points profit)
Race 6 - Tipperary - 17:30 - Indigo Balance (Place Bet) - 1.48 Points - 3rd @ 1.74 (1.0732 points profit)
Race 7 - Haydock - 20:25 - Goldie Hawk (Place Bet) - 1.33 Points - 1st @ 1.82 (1.0687 points profit)

1.97 points profit to the 6.91 points staked (taking the non-runner into account.)

Even the Chancers Bet was nicely profitable.

This selects the best 3 races of the day and, once again, splits 10 points across the individual bets.

T01). Work out a number of strategies to utilise R9 and provide Focus Rating members free Portfolio Betting selections across a number of different betting strategies (win backing, place backing, dutching, laying and,
the other thing that I described that I don't know what it is called) on a daily basis.

T02). For Compass Ratings, display, on screen and via a email PDF, the twice weekly updated trainer/jockey win/place strike rates.

T03). For Compass Ratings, complete the eBook that explains all the weird and wonderful things that I have learned about Hong Kong Horse racing.

T04). Complete PaperTradeIt.com - a free site where you can privately log your bets and get Strike Rate, POI (to ISP and BSP) data and losing run analysis on those bets.

I'm trying to knock off the easy/quick jobs first in order to reduce the size of the list; the size of the list scares me sometimes and, believe me, I have twice as many jobs on the Admin/BAU (Business As Usual - things like automated scripts, backups and server log file analysis - stuff that all website owners have to do) task list to get through as well.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 115.64 units returned to 116 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -0.31%

Top Rated Horse - There were 10 winners from the top rated horses from 39 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 39.94 units returned to 39 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 2.41%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 11 winners from the second rated horses from 38 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 41.29 units returned to 38 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 8.66%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the third rated horses from 39 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 34.41 units returned to 39 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -11.77%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 13 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 4 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 30.77%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 8.44 units returned to 13 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -35.08%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 13 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 11 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 84.62%
