Good morning...

Over the weekend I have been looking at utilising the theory behind Portfolio-Betting.com to investigate a new strategy for PlaceProfits.com

Portfolio-Betting.com uses 7 micro-systems to generate its selections.

I feel that the same principle could be used for place selections.

Having said that...

PlaceProfits.com is really on a bit of a roll at the moment with plenty of high priced selections coming in.

Anyway...

It's worth putting in the effort to see if I can improve things even further.

ROFT

For those of you who use Intelligent Betting, you should be aware that Roy has to go to Florida on Thursday for a family funeral.

He will be gone for 10 days and, obviously, during that time there will be no ROFT (Roy's One For Today) selections.

In order to be honest and truly transparent with you...

I will now be publishing my task list on the Morning News.

You will be able to see what I am working on and, more importantly, what progress I am making.

Here are the current tasks...

T01). Work out a number of strategies to utilise R9 and provide Focus Rating members free Portfolio Betting selections across a number of different betting strategies (win backing, place backing, dutching, laying and,
the other thing that I described that I don't know what it is called) on a daily basis.

T02). For Compass Ratings, display, on screen and via a email PDF, the twice weekly updated trainer/jockey win/place strike rates.

T03). For Compass Ratings, complete the eBook that explains all the weird and wonderful things that I have learned about Hong Kong Horse racing.

T04). Complete PaperTradeIt.com - a free site where you can privately log your bets and get Strike Rate, POI (to ISP and BSP) data and losing run analysis on those bets.

I'm trying to knock off the easy/quick jobs first in order to reduce the size of the list; the size of the list scares me sometimes and, believe me, I have twice as many jobs on the Admin/BAU (Business As Usual - things like automated scripts, backups and server log file analysis - stuff that all website owners have to do) task list to get through as well.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 80.07 units returned to 50 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, 60.14%

Top Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the top rated horses from 18 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 23.77 units returned to 18 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 32.06%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the second rated horses from 16 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 22.8 units returned to 16 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 42.5%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the third rated horses from 16 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 33.5 units returned to 16 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 109.38%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 7 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 3 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 42.86%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 17.82 units returned to 7 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, 154.57%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 7 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 6 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 85.71%

Investment Betting

There were no Investment Betting selections (using the new R8 based system) yesterday...

Over the last exact month...

Investment Betting has been running at a 50% strike rate and has returned a POI of 29.1%

It is currently the 3rd highest performing backing service (for the last month) on Racing Index.

EarlyBird Ratings

There were three Diamonds and Gold (Platinum) selections yesterday...

The Platinum selections seem to be doing very well but...

The service is highly selective with only 14 selections in the last month.

However, the POI (to BSP) is 105%.

A Mafia Godfather finds out that his bookkeeper, Guido, has cheated him out of $10,000,000.

His bookkeeper is deaf.

That was the reason he got the job in the first place.

It was assumed that Guido would hear nothing so he would never have to testify in court.

When the Godfather goes to confront Guido about his missing $10 million, he takes along his lawyer who knows sign language.

The Godfather tells the lawyer, "Ask him where the money is!"

The lawyer, using sign language, asks Guido, "Where's the money?"

Guido signs back, "I don't know what you are talking about."

The lawyer tells the Godfather, "He says he doesn't know what you're talking about."

The Godfather pulls out a pistol, puts it to Guido's head and says, "Ask him again or I'll kill him!"

The lawyer signs to Guido, "He'll kill you if you don't tell him."
