Not a good day for the new Focus Ratings R9 based service, in terms of results but...
I did get the dutching part finished.
Today I've got to finish an additional Place Betting system to add to the portfolio.
I'm also going to identify the Laying opportunities.
Then I have to do the really difficult part and write the blog posts to document the service.
As I tend not to get too many emails over the weekend I shall attempt to get that done and dusted for Monday.
The whole idea is to identify all potential bets for any R9 rated race.
Then, grade those races in terms of Reward/Risk.
Thus, every race will get a sort of rating.
You will be able to choose to bet the top rated rate or the top two and so forth.
For every race a nominal 10 point stake will be split into the different stakes for each of the individual bets for that race.
If two races are chosen then the 20 points stake will be divided across the two races but, it won't be 10 points for each race, the more potentially profitable (and, thus, higher rated) race will get a higher percentage of the total stake.
Anyway, that's the idea and that's how I do my horse racing over here in France.
As an example...
If, for a race, R8=4 - thus, there are four horses showing on the R9 PDF,
There might be a Dutch Bet for all four horses or just the top three horses.
There might be a Win bet on the top rated horse.
There may be a Place bet on the top rated horse.
There may be a Place bet on the second rated horse (and, even, a Place bet on the third rated horse.
There may also be a lay bet on the fourth rated horse should the price be low enough.
In order to be honest and truly transparent with you...
I will now be publishing my task list on the Morning News.
You will be able to see what I am working on and, more importantly, what progress I am making.
Here are the current tasks...
T01). Work out a number of strategies to utilise R9 and provide Focus Rating members free Portfolio Betting selections across a number of different betting strategies (win backing, place backing, dutching, laying and, the other thing that I described that I don't know what it is called) on a daily basis.
T02). For Compass Ratings, display, on screen and via a email PDF, the twice weekly updated trainer/jockey win/place strike rates.
T03). For Compass Ratings, complete the eBook that explains all the weird and wonderful things that I have learned about Hong Kong Horse racing.
T04). Complete PaperTradeIt.com - a free site where you can privately log your bets and get Strike Rate, POI (to ISP and BSP) data and losing run analysis on those bets.
I'm trying to knock off the easy/quick jobs first in order to reduce the size of the list; the size of the list scares me sometimes and, believe me, I have twice as many jobs on the Admin/BAU (Business As Usual - things like automated scripts, backups and server log file analysis - stuff that all website owners have to do) task list to get through as well.
Here are the results in the Traffic Light Results PDF format... Yesterday's Traffic Light Results
Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 33.33%.
