After a lovely day off,

When I pondered...

How to rate lightly raced horses,

How to determine a decent Dutching strategy,

And, also, when I sampled some lovely French winter beers...

I suppose that it's time for me to get back to work.

Although I don't really have much to report

To be honest, I'd rather get back to the bar and sample some more Winter beer.

Roll on next Sunday.

Yesterday's Results

Another decent day, as you can see from the Results.

A strike rate (for the top rated horse) of 30% is pretty OK with me.

There were no forecasts yesterday.

There were no tricasts yesterday.

From the 20 rated races there were 10 winners (from the top 3 rated horses) - Six of these were at reasonable prices.

A slow start to the day.

Nothing stands out but...

To be honest, it was my day off and I wasn't really concentrating too much.

Or, rather I was concentrating but...

On winter beer rather than the racing!

Big Mike came second in a 6 horse bumper.

Live Ratings

I've just checked and the Live Ratings results have been updated.

There weren't enough non-runners yesterday for the Live Ratings to be any different to the actual ratings and, thus, the Live Ratings achieved a 30% strike rate just like the normal ratings.

Sometime today, there will be a link to the Live Ratings Results page somewhere on the site.

Only three meetings today.

The 6am ratings look good, with 18 rated races.
