Morning News – 12/01/2021

Good morning...

On most of my websites I have a plugin that gives me email functionality from within the website.

This allows me to send you an email when I publish the Morning News.

It also allows me to send you an email when I produce the Investment Betting, Diamonds and Gold and Place Profits selections.

This plugin seems to have stopped working on Sunday.

Now, I haven't changed anything so it must be due to an upgrade on my server (which I'm not aware of.)

So, until I come up with a solution I will manually send you those emails using my email client.

This might take me a bit more time but it is a solution.

Our Place Profit selection yesterday didn't get placed.

Now, while this upsets me, I have to take it in my stride - we can't have winners every day but...

When we do, the prices they come in at seem to cover our losses.

On another tack, I have been doing some work on a Dutching system based upon R8.

This means that I will need to come up with another PDF which will show up to the top 3 rated horses which qualify as R8 rated horses.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 37.33 units returned to 69 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -45.9%

Top Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the top rated horses from 24 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 16.83 units returned to 24 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -29.87%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the second rated horses from 25 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 11 units returned to 25 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -56%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the third rated horses from 20 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 9.5 units returned to 20 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -52.5%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 8 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 3 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 37.5%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 6.83 units returned to 8 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -14.62%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 8 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 4 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 50%
