Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

So, not such a shabby day, yesterday.

I really can't complain about a strike rate of 40% for the top rated horse but...

I'm actually more interested in the strike rate for the top three rated horses of 76.67%.

Not everyone backs horses to win and that number is a real aid to layers.

Actually, the top rated horse came in the top three in 73.33% of all races and that's got to be good news for Place Betters.

I was actually quite busy yesterday and have managed to start work on the backlog of winter upgrades.

As a result...

The links for the speed ratings are now available on the Ratings Page.

And the Easy Dutch page now uses the Live Ratings.

Anyway, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 40%.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 90.57 units returned to 92 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -1.55%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 34.29 units returned to 30 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 14.30%

2nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the second rated horse in all of the races you would have had 31.78 units returned to 32 units staked. The Second Rated Profit Index was, thus, -0.69%

3nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the third rated horse in all of the races you would have had 24.5 units returned to 30 units staked. The Third Rated Profit Index was, thus, -18.33%

The Portfolio

There was neither a Banker's Bet nor a Chancer's Bet yesterday.

However, I have been working with one member to investigate a trend that he has observed and, as a result...

He has allowed me to create and publish two systems based upon the information.

So, sometime next week there will be another two profitable systems added to the portfolio.

On the Portfolio Page there is now a link to the Banker's Bet Proofing Page and, also to the Chancer's Bet proofing page.

You may subscribe to my Portfolio. To do so, you need to go to your Members Page and change option 4 on the Your Profile bit.

If you haven't subscribed, the button will say Yes - just click on it and you'll be signed up.

Today's early test ratings show 39 rated races from six meetings.

It's nice to see the Flat back on the menu.

And it's going to be interesting to see how the new Speed Ratings are going to cope with it.

Have a great day's racing!

5 star ratingsOnce again, if you've got anything to say about Focus Ratings, please wander over to the Focus Ratings Review at Tipsters Review and have your say.
