Good morning...
Not much to say about yesterday,
Especially the Grand National.
We don't seem to be much good with that race;
In 2013, none of the top three rated horses won.
Last year, our top rated horse actually finished (the other two didn't, though) and came fifth which is some sort of a result, I suppose.
And yesterday, two of the three top rated horses finished and our third rated horse came fifth.
So, I guess that the ratings are getting better as far as this race is concerned; although at this rate, it might be 2025 before we get a winner from a top three rated horse.
Next year, it'll be interesting to see if we have speed ratings for the NH races and whether they do better.
Or, the new R5 ratings (which will run alongside the current ratings) might be better able to find horses that can finish this race and get placed.
Who knows?
Strangely enough, with such a low strike rate for yesterday, we were still profitable had you blindly done the Forecast in every race.
Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....
Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 16.67%.
The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 103.25 units returned to 127 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -18.7%
Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 28.54 units returned to 42 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -22.05%
2nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the second rated horse in all of the races you would have had 28.08 units returned to 41 units staked. The Second Rated Profit Index was, thus, -31.51%
3nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the third rated horse in all of the races you would have had 46.63 units returned to 44 units staked. The Third Rated Profit Index was, thus, 5.98%
