Good morning...
Another silly day,
Where the strike rate wasn't so good but,
Because of the prices, it was a profitable day.
One of the reasons that I do the morning news is to remind me that it's not all about the strike rate.
Sure, strike rate is important but,
Making money is what it's all about.
So, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....
Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 17.65%.
The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 53.87 units returned to 49 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, 9.94%
Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 8.5 units returned to 17 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -50%
2nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the second rated horse in all of the races you would have had 21.75 units returned to 16 units staked. The Second Rated Profit Index was, thus, 35.94%
3nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the third rated horse in all of the races you would have had 23.62 units returned to 16 units staked. The Third Rated Profit Index was, thus, 47.63%

Today's early test ratings show 38 rated races from six meetings.
Today will be a day of housekeeping for me; trying to get lots of the silly little winter upgrades done so that I can see the wood from the trees and understand what is left to finish off.
So, expect a list of jobs done tomorrow.
Hopefully.
Have a great day's racing!
