Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Yesterday was largely spent working on the speed ratings and,

Trying to come up with a strategy for using them.

I haven't come up with anything yet but I shall be continuing with this work today.

There were no real surprises with the results for yesterday but...

Also, no stand out numbers.

Although there was a decent combination Trifecta at Haydock and maybe the new server will help me identify the races in which it's worth having a punt on those types of bets.

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25.49%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 24.07%.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 80.12 units returned to 152 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -47.29%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 42.82 units returned to 51 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -16.04%

2nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the second rated horse in all of the races you would have had 18 units returned to 50 units staked. The Second Rated Profit Index was, thus, -64%

3nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the third rated horse in all of the races you would have had 19.3 units returned to 51 units staked. The Third Rated Profit Index was, thus, -62.16%

Something to make you smile...

David O. was kind enough to send in a few jokes the other day. This is one of them....

Seniors Banking...

Shown below, is an actual letter that was sent to a bank by an 86 year old woman.

The bank manager thought it amusing enough to have it published in the Times.

Dear Sir:

I am writing to thank you for bouncing my cheque with which I endeavoured to pay my plumber last month.

By my calculations, three nanoseconds must have elapsed between his presenting the cheque and the arrival in my account of the funds needed to honour it.

I refer, of course, to the automatic monthly deposit of my entire pension, an arrangement which, I admit, has been in place for only eight years.

Have a great day's racing!

5 star ratingsOnce again, if you've got anything to say about Focus Ratings, please wander over to the Focus Ratings Review at Tipsters Review and have your say.

The income that we make from sign ups from that site keeps me in Red Wine and Smelly Cheese!

As always...

My kindest regards
