Good morning...

I have to admit that...

The CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system that I installed about 6 weeks ago has turned out to be an absolute nightmare.

I can still see that, long term, it will make my life easier but,

It's making my work twice as long at the moment.

Still, I'll get there in the end.

Thus, more admin work for me today; trying to get it all working.

Task List...

In order to be honest and truly transparent with you...

I will now be publishing my task list on the Morning News.

You will be able to see what I am working on and, more importantly, what progress I am making.

Here are the current tasks...

T01). Work out a number of strategies to utilise R9 and provide Focus Rating members free Portfolio Betting selections across a number of different betting strategies (win backing, place backing, dutching, laying and,
the other thing that I described that I don't know what it is called) on a daily basis.

T02). For Compass Ratings, display, on screen and via a email PDF, the twice weekly updated trainer/jockey win/place strike rates.

T03). For Compass Ratings, complete the eBook that explains all the weird and wonderful things that I have learned about Hong Kong Horse racing.

T04). Complete PaperTradeIt.com - a free site where you can privately log your bets and get Strike Rate, POI (to ISP and BSP) data and losing run analysis on those bets.

I'm trying to knock off the easy/quick jobs first in order to reduce the size of the list; the size of the list scares me sometimes and, believe me, I have twice as many jobs on the Admin/BAU (Business As Usual - things like automated scripts, backups and server log file analysis - stuff that all website owners have to do) task list to get through as well.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 71.09 units returned to 72 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -1.26%

Top Rated Horse - There were 8 winners from the top rated horses from 27 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 26.05 units returned to 27 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -3.52%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the second rated horses from 22 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 39.88 units returned to 22 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 81.27%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the third rated horses from 23 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 5.16 units returned to 23 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -77.57%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 10 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 2 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 20%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 3.75 units returned to 10 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -62.5%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 10 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 3 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 30%

Investment Betting

There were no Investment Betting selections (using the new R8 based system) yesterday...

Over the last exact month...

Investment Betting has been running at a 53.3% strike rate and has returned a POI of 14.3%

It is currently the 4th highest performing backing service (for the last month) on Racing Index.

EarlyBird Ratings

There were no Diamonds and Gold (Platinum) selections yesterday...

The Platinum selections seem to be doing very well but...

The service is highly selective with only 25 selections in the last month.

However, the Strike Rate is 40.0% and the POI (to BSP) is 9.10%.

The Old Timer...

An old timer was sitting in his rocking chair on his front porch when a kid comes walking by with something in his hands.

The old timer asks the kid, "Hey son. Whatcha got there?"

The kid replies, "I got me some chicken wire. I'm gonna catch me some chickens."

The old timer responds, "Oh son, you can't catch no chickens with chicken wire."

A short time later the old timer sees the kid come back with a bunch of flapping chickens all caught up in the chicken wire.

"Well, I'll be...'" says the old timer scratching his head.

The next day the kid comes walking past the old timer. This time he has something round and gray in his hands.

The old timer shouts out to the kid, "Hey kid, whatcha got in your hands this time?"

The kid responds, "I got me some duct tape. I'm gonna catch me some ducks."

The old timer laughs, "Son, you can't catch no ducks using duct tape."

A short time later the kid comes back with a bunch of ducks caught-up and quacking in the duct tape."

The old man cannot believe his eyes.

The next day the kid comes walking past the old timer, again with something in hs hands.

The old timer shouts out to the kid, "Hey kid, whatcha got in your hands today?"

The kid shouts back to the old timer, "I got me some pussy willow."

The old timer shouts out, "Hold on son...while I get my hat!"
