Good morning...

After a massive day of admin work...

I am almost caught up and will soon be able to move on to more exciting and interesting things.

I have found some errors within my membership software and have manually corrected them.

So, if you find that you are not receiving the selections or ratings that you normally do but haven't cancelled your subscription to that service, please let me know and I'll investigate.

Task List...

In order to be honest and truly transparent with you...

I will now be publishing my task list on the Morning News.

You will be able to see what I am working on and, more importantly, what progress I am making.

Here are the current tasks...

T01). Work out a number of strategies to utilise R9 and provide Focus Rating members free Portfolio Betting selections across a number of different betting strategies (win backing, place backing, dutching, laying and,
the other thing that I described that I don't know what it is called) on a daily basis.

T02). For Compass Ratings, display, on screen and via a email PDF, the twice weekly updated trainer/jockey win/place strike rates.

T03). For Compass Ratings, complete the eBook that explains all the weird and wonderful things that I have learned about Hong Kong Horse racing.

T04). Complete PaperTradeIt.com - a free site where you can privately log your bets and get Strike Rate, POI (to ISP and BSP) data and losing run analysis on those bets.

I'm trying to knock off the easy/quick jobs first in order to reduce the size of the list; the size of the list scares me sometimes and, believe me, I have twice as many jobs on the Admin/BAU (Business As Usual - things like automated scripts, backups and server log file analysis - stuff that all website owners have to do) task list to get through as well.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 49.59 units returned to 69 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -28.13%

Top Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the top rated horses from 24 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 21.34 units returned to 24 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -11.08%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the second rated horses from 23 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 9.5 units returned to 23 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -58.7%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the third rated horses from 22 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 18.75 units returned to 22 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -14.77%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 8 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 3 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 37.5%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 7.09 units returned to 8 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -11.37%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 8 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 4 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 50%

Investment Betting

There were no Investment Betting selections (using the new R8 based system) yesterday...

Over the last exact month...

Investment Betting has been running at a 53.3% strike rate and has returned a POI of 14.3%

It is currently the 3rd highest performing backing service (for the last month) on Racing Index.

EarlyBird Ratings

There were no Diamonds and Gold (Platinum) selections yesterday...

The Platinum selections seem to be doing very well but...

The service is highly selective with only 25 selections in the last month.

However, the Strike Rate is 40.0% and the POI (to BSP) is 9.10%.

High Stakes Poker...

Six retired Floridians play high stakes poker in the condo clubhouse.

A member of the group, Meiers, loses $5,000 on a single hand, clutches his chest and drops dead at the table.

Showing respect for their fallen comrade, the other five finish playing the hand standing up.

Finkelstein looks around and asks, "So, who's gonna' tell his wife?"

They cut the cards, and Goldberg "wins" the duty. They tell him to be discreet, be gentle, not to make a bad situation any worse.

"Discreet? I'm the most discreet person you'll ever meet. Discretion is my middle name," he says. Leave it to me."

Goldberg goes over to the Meiers' apartment and knocks on the door. Mrs. Meiers wife answers and asks what he wants.

Goldberg declares, "Your husband just lost $5,000 playing poker, and is afraid to come home."

"Tell him to drop dead!" says the wife.

"Will do," he says.
