Good morning...

A decent enough day, yesterday and I do want to thank all of you who have commented on the new Place Betting strategy.

I have now got a spreadsheet with data from the 8th of July 2013 to the 9th of June 2105; thus, almost two years worth of data and...

The work that I did on that yesterday clearly shows that I need two Place Betting Strategies; one for races of 8 to 15 runners and another for bigger races.

To be honest, by removing the Price Band filters and replacing them with two logical additional filters then place betting the selection for the larger races is profitable all year round.

We'll only get 5 races a week but there's a potential 1,000 races a year to come from the smaller races.

That might give me my 3 races a day and 5 winning days a week that I was after in the first place.

I'll be publishing this spreadsheet and at least one of the proposed strategies later on today.

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 28.07%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 27.42%.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 158.41 units returned to 171 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -7.36%

Top Rated Horse - There were 16 winners from the top rated horses from 57 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 59.5 units returned to 57 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 4.39%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 7 winners from the second rated horses from 57 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 39.28 units returned to 57 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -31.09%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 8 winners from the third rated horses from 57 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 59.63 units returned to 57 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 4.61%
