Good morning...

After another day of number crunching...

I have just one more step before creating a new spreadsheet with the last six and a half year's data.

As a result of some changes to Betfair (or the way they distribute their results) I am missing a big chunk of Win and Place Betfair starting prices.

Today I shall be running a script to import these missing BSPs.

In addition, I shall be adding a new script to be run daily - this will ensure that the BSPs are updated every day.

Then I will be able to cut a new and definitive spreadsheet to support the quest to find one race a day where we can have a win bet, two or three place bets and a few Lay bets...

All on the same race.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 41.13 units returned to 36 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, 14.25%

Top Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the top rated horses from 11 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 16.25 units returned to 11 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 47.73%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the second rated horses from 13 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 7.88 units returned to 13 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -39.38%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the third rated horses from 12 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 17 units returned to 12 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 41.67%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 5 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 0 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 0%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 0 units returned to 5 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -100%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 5 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 3 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 60%

Please don't dig up the garden - that's where I hid the money. Be patient and wait until I get out.

At 4am, the police show up at Maurice's house and dig up the entire garden.

Two days later, Maurice receives another letter from Ben:

Now the garden has been dug up, you can start to plant your garden. It's the best I could do from here.
