Good morning...

I have decided to take a break from producing the R9 Portfolio Selections.

We are not getting anywhere with them and I need to have a re-think about this strategy.

What I am looking to do is to identify the best race of the day (in terms of the accuracy of the ratings) and then produce a number of bets on just that one race.

So, we might end up with a win bet on the top rated horse, a place bet on the top rated horse, a place bet on the second rated horse and maybe lay the third rated horse.

The first stage would be to identify the best race (out of an average of 35 races a day) of the day.

The current R9 Portfolio selections take me about an hour a day to produce.

By taking a break from doing this gives me more time to concentrate on other things (like the AW strategy.)

I'll let you know how I get on with the new R9 strategy.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 70.36 units returned to 95 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -25.94%

Top Rated Horse - There were 10 winners from the top rated horses from 32 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 23.61 units returned to 32 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -26.22%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the second rated horses from 32 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 17.5 units returned to 32 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -45.31%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the third rated horses from 31 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 29.25 units returned to 31 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -5.65%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 10 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 4 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 40%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 8.17 units returned to 10 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -18.3%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 10 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 4 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 40%

Cat & Mouse Go To Heaven...

One day a cat dies of natural causes and goes to heaven. There he meets the Lord Himself. The Lord says to the cat, “You lived a good life and if there is any way I can make your stay in Heaven more comfortable, please let me know.”

The cat thinks for a moment and says, “Lord, all my life I have lived with a poor family and had to sleep on a hard wooden floor.”

The Lord stops the cat and says, “Say no more” and a wonderful fluffy pillow appears.

A few days later 6 mice are killed in a tragic farming accident and go to heaven. Again there is the Lord there to great them with the same offer. The mice answer, “All of our lives we have been chased. We have had to run from cats, dogs, and even women with brooms. We are tired of running. Do you think we could have roller skates so we don’t have to run anymore?”

The Lord says, “Say no more” and fits each mouse with a beautiful pair of roller skates.

About a week later the Lord stops by to see the cat and finds him snoozing on the pillow. The Lord gently wakes the cat and asks him, “How are things since you are here?”

The cat stretches and yawns and replies, “It is wonderful here. Better than I could have ever expected. And those Meals On Wheels you have been sending by are the best!!!”
