Good morning...

Today I shall largely be working on options for the Annuity Plan for staking the Focus Ratings R10 selections.

I am assuming that, at the end of every month, we take out 80% of that month's profits and increase the bank (and, thus, the stakes) by the remainder.

However, following a discussion with a member who is interested in the strategy, I have decided to use the 6 years of historical data and cut a new spreadsheet which shows the effects of the Annuity Staking Plan at different percentage monthly takeouts (such as 70%, 90% etc.)

This will allow people to select the right plan according to their individual Risk Tolerances.

Top Rated Horse - There were 11 winners from the top rated horses from 29 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 32.49 units returned to 29 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 12.03%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 9 winners from the second rated horses from 31 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 29.52 units returned to 31 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -4.77%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the third rated horses from 32 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 25.5 units returned to 32 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -20.31%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 9 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 5 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 55.56%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 11.63 units returned to 9 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, 29.22%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 9 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 7 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 77.78%

Something to make you smile...

Two strangers get paired up golfing...

They’re both pretty avid golfers, so they’re playing a speedy round.

They play through a couple groups and end up behind a couple ladies further up the fairway.

The one chap decides to walk up and ask if they can play through. About halfway towards them, he stops dead and turns around.

His partner says “why’d you stop?”

“Well when I got close, I realized one was my wife and one was my mistress.”

The other fellow decides to go inquire on behalf of the duo.

He, too, gets halfway, stops and turns around.

As he comes back to his partner he says “small world…”
