Good morning...

Well, with my new router installed...

I should finally be able to catch up on some of the backlog of work.

To satisfy my interest I am going to run a script to generate a list for Focus Ratings R10 rated races where every horse in the race is rated and both Focus Ratings and Advance Ratings agree on the ranking of every horse in the race.

I suspect that there may only be one or two of these a week and that most of them will have between 5 to 8 runners.

By reviewing the results I may find there is an additional strategy for Precision Betting; one with more betting options.

In any case, the results will be interesting, even if only to me.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 90.29 units returned to 127 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -28.91%

Top Rated Horse - There were 10 winners from the top rated horses from 44 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 32.38 units returned to 44 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -26.41%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 8 winners from the second rated horses from 43 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 24.78 units returned to 43 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -42.37%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 8 winners from the third rated horses from 40 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 33.13 units returned to 40 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -17.17%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 14 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 1 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 7.14%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 1.83 units returned to 14 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -86.93%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 14 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 7 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 50%

Something to make you smile...

A grandfather and grandson are taking a walk around the yard after a rainstorm...

Seeing worms all over the sidewalk the grandfather decided to play a little prank on his grandson. "Billy," he says "I'll give you ten dollars if you can take one of those worms and put it back in it's hole."

Thinking this to be impossible, he watched as Billy played around with a worm for a minute. Suddenly Billy drops the worm and says "I'll be right back" and runs into the house.

Billy comes back with a can of hairspray, grabs one of the worms and sprays it down until it's stiff enough to slip right into it's hole.

"Well I'll be damn." Says the grandfather, handing over Billy's money. "You know what son, I'll be right back." says the grandfather heading into the house.

About fifteen minutes later his grandfather comes out of the house and gives Billy ten dollars. "But you already gave me the ten dollars papa." Says a confused Billy.

"That's from your grandmother."
