On the face of it...

Not such a stellar day, yesterday.

However, watching the results coming in wasn't such an unenjoyable experience.

We didn't get it quite right but...

We didn't get it so far wrong.

After all, it was a Monday and, I don't know what it is about Mondays but our best days and our worst days, historically, have been Mondays.

I'm sure that there's a reason for that.

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 64.49 units returned to 99 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -34.86%

Top Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the top rated horses from 34 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 20.98 units returned to 34 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -38.29%

Place Betting Strategy

Our selections were...

2). Ripon 18:35 - Black Diamond Girl - NR

3). Roscommon 19:15 - Torrey Pines - unplaced

4). Ripon 20:35 - Cooper - came 3rd - Betfair paid 1.53 for the place.

5). Roscommon 20:45 - Hudson's Bay - came 3rd - Betfair paid 3.63 for the place.

So, 4.902 points returned to 4 points staked (assuming a Betfair commission of 5%.)

After six days we are running at a strike rate of 36.36% (8 winners from 22 selections) and have had 25.712 points returned to 22 points staked (assuming a Betfair commission of 5%.)
