Good morning...

Over the weekend I did manage to get a large chunk of my Admin work completed.

I have to run an audit on the members database today, to ensure that those people getting ratings/selections etc. are paying for them and, more importantly...

People who are paying for a service are actually getting those selections/ratings.

I am aware that some service access has been lost during the implementation of my CRM software so, today I have to put that right..

In other news...

At Intelligent Betting, Roy is back from his break.

The System Selections have been doing well recently, with 4 out of 4 on Saturday.

Overall...

Although here are daily ups and downs...

It is interesting to note that,

Four of the top 11 performing services independently proofed to Racing Index are based upon (one way or another) on Focus Ratings.

In order to be honest and truly transparent with you...

I will now be publishing my task list on the Morning News.

You will be able to see what I am working on and, more importantly, what progress I am making.

Here are the current tasks...

T01). Work out a number of strategies to utilise R9 and provide Focus Rating members free Portfolio Betting selections across a number of different betting strategies (win backing, place backing, dutching, laying and,
the other thing that I described that I don't know what it is called) on a daily basis.

T02). For Compass Ratings, display, on screen and via a email PDF, the twice weekly updated trainer/jockey win/place strike rates.

T03). For Compass Ratings, complete the eBook that explains all the weird and wonderful things that I have learned about Hong Kong Horse racing.

T04). Complete PaperTradeIt.com - a free site where you can privately log your bets and get Strike Rate, POI (to ISP and BSP) data and losing run analysis on those bets.

I'm trying to knock off the easy/quick jobs first in order to reduce the size of the list; the size of the list scares me sometimes and, believe me, I have twice as many jobs on the Admin/BAU (Business As Usual - things like automated scripts, backups and server log file analysis - stuff that all website owners have to do) task list to get through as well.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 33.24 units returned to 49 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -32.16%

Top Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the top rated horses from 17 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 7.62 units returned to 17 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -55.18%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the second rated horses from 15 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 11.12 units returned to 15 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -25.87%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the third rated horses from 17 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 14.5 units returned to 17 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -14.71%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 6 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 0 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 0%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 0 units returned to 6 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -100%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 6 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 3 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 50%

Investment Betting

There were no Investment Betting selections (using the new R8 based system) yesterday...

Over the last exact month...

Investment Betting has been running at a 55.3% strike rate and has returned a POI of 19.70%

It is currently the 4th highest performing backing service (for the last month) on Racing Index.

EarlyBird Ratings

There was one Diamonds and Gold (Platinum) selection yesterday...

Uttoxeter - 14:10 - Fine Casting - 2nd

The Platinum selections seem to be doing very well but...

The service is highly selective with only 29 selections in the last month.

However, the Strike Rate is 44.8% and the POI (to BSP) is 15.40%.

Something to make you smile...

Migraine...

A man goes to the doctor with a long history of migraine headaches.

When the doctor does his history and physical, he discovers that the poor guy has tried practically every therapy known to man for his migraines and STILL no improvement.

"Listen," says the doc, "I have migraines, too and the advice I'm going to give you isn't really anything I learned in medical school, but it's advice that I've gotten from my own experience. When I have a migraine, I go home, get in a nice hot bathtub, and soak for a while. Then I have my wife sponge me off with the hottest water I can stand, especially around the forehead. This helps a little. Then I get out of the tub, take her into the bedroom, and even if my head is killing me, I force myself to have sex with her. Almost always, the headache is immediately gone. Now, give it a try, and come back and see me in six weeks."
