Good morning...

I sort of got distracted and sidetracked yesterday...

And decided to take a quick look at the Focus Ratings R9 Portfolio Selections.

These aren't to be confused with the Portfolio-Betting.com selections which, although based upon the same ratings, use a different strategy.

I decided to concentrate on the Bankers Bets - these are bets on the best 2 races of the day.

It only shows the last 2 months data as I made a change 2 months ago to only use those micro systems that had enough background data to allow me to trust them.

However, the results look promising.

The chart shows the results where the Bankers Bets are bet to 1 point for Win Bets and 2 points for Place Bets.

Even though the graph is a bit jagged, had I had 5 years of data to display, the chart would be far smoother.

However, a 20 point bank grows to 43 points over the 2 month period.

At no point was the bank even remotely threatened and the lowest balance was 19.18 points - the balance rose to 21.7 points the following day.

Which brings me to another point...

Those of you who currently receive the Portfolio-Betting.com selections for free (effectively a free trial) will no longer receive them as I have commercialised that service.

I shall be making a change to the way that I present the Focus Ratings R9 Portfolio selections.

This is how I currently display the selections.

This is far too complex.

From today I shall just show the Bankers Bets and 1 Chancer Bet (this will be called the Win Bet of the Day) and 1 Place Bet (this will be called the Place Bet of the Day.)

I shall show advised stakes but with 10 points spread across just those bets.

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 28.57%.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 46.13 units returned to 65 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -29.03%

Top Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the top rated horses from 21 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 12.14 units returned to 21 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -42.19%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the second rated horses from 23 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 14.49 units returned to 23 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -37%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the third rated horses from 21 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 19.5 units returned to 21 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -7.14%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 4 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 2 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 50%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 3.24 units returned to 4 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -19%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 4 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 4 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 100%

Investment Betting

There was one Investment Betting selection (using the new R8 based system) yesterday...

Over the last exact month...

Investment Betting has been running at a 55.3% strike rate and has returned a POI of 19.70%

It is currently the 3rs highest performing backing service (for the last month) on Racing Index.

EarlyBird Ratings

There was one Diamonds and Gold (Platinum) selection yesterday...

The Platinum selections seem to be doing very well but...

The service is highly selective with only 29 selections in the last month.

However, the Strike Rate is 44.8% and the POI (to BSP) is 20.10%.
