Good morning...
I was going to start this post by saying... "A not so good day, yesterday" but,
I've just realised that a 28% strike rate for the top rated horse isn't so bad after all.
And, it would have been profitable to have blindly backed that horse in every race.
A good day for the Place Betting Strategy...
With 3 out of the 5 selections winning (or being profitably placed) and we have recovered the losses we made on Wednesday.
I mentioned, yesterday, that one of the members had spotted an error in the spreadsheet. I've fixed that problem and another member is independently reviewing all the numbers. Just by a quick look at the spreadsheet I think that I may have missed out on declaring profits in 2 races and so I shall be going through the spreadsheet line by line as well, ready for the month end report.
Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....
Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 28.21%.
Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 29.27%.
Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 26.19% from all 42 Races (including previously unrated races.)
The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 107.09 units returned to 113 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -5.23%
Top Rated Horse - There were 11 winners from the top rated horses from 39 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 41.26 units returned to 39 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 5.79%
2nd Rated Horse - There were 7 winners from the second rated horses from 37 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 34.33 units returned to 37 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -7.22%
3rd Rated Horse - There were 7 winners from the third rated horses from 37 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 31.5 units returned to 37 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -14.86%
