Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

A decent enough day, yesterday and...

A pretty good month of July for us.

I have updated the PBS spreadsheet and ensured that every calculation used is a formula rather than me working things out on my old rusty calculator at some ungodly hour of the morning.

Thus, the spreadsheet should now be exact, the missing winners should all be acknowledged and the numbers...

Should add up.

The spreadsheet is being audited today and I'll get a monthly report out (covering PBS as well as other things) tomorrow.

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25.58%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 22.92% from all 48 Races (including previously unrated races.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 100.07 units returned to 133 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -24.76%

Top Rated Horse - There were 11 winners from the top rated horses from 43 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 35.32 units returned to 43 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -17.86%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 9 winners from the second rated horses from 44 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 42 units returned to 44 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -4.55%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the third rated horses from 46 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 22.75 units returned to 46 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -50.54%

- Emergency Checklist-

'The Piper Cub is the safest airplane in the world; it can just barely kill you.'
- Attributed to Max Stanley ( Northrop test pilot) -

As the test pilot climbs out of the experimental aircraft,
having torn off the wings and tail in the crash landing, the crash truck arrives.

The rescuer sees the bloodied pilot and asks,'What happened?'
The pilot's reply: 'I don't know, I just got here myself!'
