Good morning...

Well...

I seem to have opened a can of worms yesterday when I mentioned Ante Post Ratings.

I have done the Ante Post ratings for the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe (4th October 2020) and the St. Ledger Stakes (Doncaster 12/09/2020.)

Today I will be concentrating on the Irish Champion Stakes (Leopardstwon 12 September 2020.)

I intend to rate all of those races listed on The Racing Post Big Race Entries page and then refine those ratings for each of those races 2 week and then 1 week prior to the race. I've noticed that some of the horses scheduled to race in the Arc are also running in the St. Leger so I'll need to do new ratings for the Arc 2 weeks and 1 week prior to that race. I'll be reporting on results from the 1 week ratings.

Top Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the top rated horses from 28 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 10.1 units returned to 28 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -63.93%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 8 winners from the second rated horses from 27 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 41 units returned to 27 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 51.85%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the third rated horses from 25 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 15.86 units returned to 25 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -36.56%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 11 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 2 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 18.18%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 3.27 units returned to 11 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -70.27%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 11 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 8 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 72.73%
