Morning News

focus-ratings-morning newsGood morning...

Well, what a horrible day. yesterday.

I'm not sure why that was as we seemed to get most races almost right but...

Not just "quite" right.

As I've mentioned before,

I'm very interested in why some days are good days (like Monday, where we had a 33.33% strike rate) and,

Yesterday when we had a strike rate of half of that.

There must be some sort of mathematical reason for it but until I've found out what it is...

I'm sort or banging my head on the desk!

head-banging

Anyway, that's giving me a headache so let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 16.13%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 17.65%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 14.29% from all 35 Races (including previously unrated races.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 52.41 units returned to 96 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -45.41%

Top Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the top rated horses from 31 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 19.75 units returned to 31 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -36.29%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the second rated horses from 33 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 15.66 units returned to 33 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -52.55%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the third rated horses from 32 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 17 units returned to 32 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -46.87%

Something to make you smile

I've an ambition to buy three race horses and call them "First" "Second" and "Third" and then enter them all in the same race.

They may not win but the commentary would be brilliant.

My ex girlfriend sent me a text message from Ascot earlier asking me to pick a horse for her to bet on.

So I sent a text back.

She just rang me saying that "Bugger off you lazy cow" didn't even run.

A jockey was riding the favourite at a race meeting, and was well ahead of the field.

His horse rounded the final corner, when suddenly the jockey was hit on the head by a turkey and a string of sausages.

He managed to keep control of his mount and pulled back into the lead, only to be struck by a box of Christmas crackers and a dozen mince pies as he went over the last fence.

With great skill he managed to steer the horse to the front of the field once more when, on the run in, he was struck on the head by a bottle of sherry and a Christmas pudding. Thus distracted, he succeeded in coming only second.

He immediately went to the race stewards to complain that he had been seriously hampered...

Today

Today's early test ratings show 35 rated races from five meetings.

Have a great day's racing!
