Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

The problem that has meant that the ratings have had to be run manually for the last two weeks has finally been identified.

I need to write a program to rerun one part of the script (maybe multiple times) if it fails at first.

However, it is a network issue and outside of my control.

Yesterday I cleared down my email backlog from 600 mails in my inbox down to just 5; I have a few of you to contact today and tomorrow to answer multiple emails in one consolidated email for each of you.

From today, the PBS selections will be available in Grey Horse Bot format - this will be option 22 on the ratings email.

Let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 16%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 17.65%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 12.16% from all 74 Races (including previously unrated races.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 115.47 units returned to 146 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -20.91%

Top Rated Horse - There were 8 winners from the top rated horses from 50 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 21.72 units returned to 50 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -56.56%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 12 winners from the second rated horses from 48 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 61.25 units returned to 48 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 27.6%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the third rated horses from 48 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 32.5 units returned to 48 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -32.29%

Something to make you smile

Bought A Porsche

A fifteen year-old boy came home with a Porsche and his parents began to scream, "Where did you get that car???!!!" He calmly told them, "I bought it today."

"With what money?" demanded his parents. "We know what a Porsche costs."

"Well," said the boy, "this one cost me fifteen dollars."

So the parents began to yell even louder. "Who would sell a car like that for fifteen dollars?" they said.

"It was the lady up the street," said the boy. "I don't know her name--they just moved in. She saw me ride past on my bike and asked me if I wanted to buy a Porsche for fifteen dollars."

"Oh No," moaned the mother, "she must be a child abuser. Who knows what she will do next? John, you go right up there and see what's going on."

So the boy's father walked up the street to the house where the lady lived and found her out in the yard calmly planting petunias!

He introduced himself as the father of the boy to whom she had sold a Porsche for fifteen dollars and demanded to know why she did it.

"Well," she said, "this morning I got a phone call from my husband. I thought he was on a business trip, but it seems he has run off to Hawaii with his secretary and doesn't intend to come back. He asked me to sell his new Porsche and send him the money. So I did."
