Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Well, a bit of a day for the new proposed Lowest on Yield Strategy with 3 out of the 4 selections winning (a 75% strike rate) and 8.32 points returned to 4 points staked.

That's a profit of 108% on investment.

Not too shabby, then.

I've done some more work on this strategy and I've written a new post about this strategy - you can see it here... Lowest on Yield - 3

Oh, by the way, our Portfolio bet won as well.

So, guess who's a happy bunny!

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 26.47%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25.71% from all 35 Races (including previously unrated races.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 98.75 units returned to 94 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, 5.05%

Top Rated Horse - There were 8 winners from the top rated horses from 32 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 24.73 units returned to 32 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -22.72%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the second rated horses from 32 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 30.02 units returned to 32 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -6.19%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the third rated horses from 30 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 44 units returned to 30 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 46.67%

Something to make you smile

Once again, many thankns to Derek H. for today's jokes.

The "Buffalo Theory" of wine.

A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo.

When the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first.

This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.

In this way regular consumption of wine eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

That's why you always feel smarter after a few glasses, and that's why wine is so good for you!

Farty Pants

During lunch at work, I ate 3 plates of beans (which I know I shouldn't).

When I got home, my husband seemed excited to see me and exclaimed delightedly, "Darling I have a surprise for dinner tonight."

He then blindfolded me and led me to my chair at the dinner table.

I took a seat and just as he was about to remove my blindfold, the telephone rang.

He made me promise not to touch the blindfold until he returned and went to answer the call.

The beans I had consumed were still affecting me and the pressure was becoming unbearable, so while my husband was out of the room I seized the opportunity, shifted my weight to one leg and let one go.

It was not only loud, but it smelled like a fertilizer truck running over a skunk in front of a garbage dump!

I took my napkin from my lap and fanned the air around me vigorously.

Then, shifting to the other leg, I ripped off three more.

The stink was worse than cooked cabbage. Keeping my ears carefully tuned to the conversation in the other room, I went on releasing bombs like this for another few minutes.

The pleasure was indescribable!

Eventually the telephone farewells signaled the end of my freedom, so I quickly fanned the air a few more times with my napkin, placed it on my lap and folded my hands back on it feeling very relieved and pleased with myself.

My face must have been the picture of innocence when my husband returned, apologizing for taking so long.

He asked me if I had peeked through the blindfold, and I assured him I had not.

At this point, he removed the blindfold, and the twelve dinner guests seated around the table, with their hands to their noses, chorused, "Happy Birthday!"
