Well, I'm not sure that there's much to say about yesterday.

It's mornings like this where I wish that I'd overslept.

Less than impressive results and...

I'm really struggling to find anything good to say.

So, rather than waffle for waffling's sake,

Let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Wages

The Iowa Wage and Hour Department claimed a man owning a small farm was not paying proper wages to his help and sent an agent to interview him.

"I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them," demanded the agent.

"Well, there are my hired hands.

One has been with me for four years; the other for three.

I pay them each 600 dollars a week, plus free room and board.

The cook has been here for 18 months, and I pay her 500 dollars a month plus free room and board.

Then there's the half-wit that works here about 18 hours a day.

He takes home 10 dollars a week and I buy him a bottle of bourbon every week," replied the farmer.

"That's the guy I want to talk to; the half-wit," said the agent.

The farmer said, "That would be me."

Many thanks to Derek H. for the following joke...

Oil Level

There are a lot of folks that can't understand how we are running out of oil here in the EU.

Well, here's the answer: It's simple...

Nobody bothered to check the oil levels.

Didn't know we were getting low.

And of course the reason for that is geographical.

All the oil is in Saudi, Texas, the North Sea and Iraq, and...

All the dipsticks are in London, Paris, Bonn etc.

Today

Today's early test ratings show 33 rated races from five meetings.

Every race is rated.

Have a great day's racing!
