Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

A substantially better day yesterday.

However, the Early Bird Preview ratings were truncated yesterday evening.

Thus, today I shall be working on some code to ensure that this doesn't happen again.

This is kind of important to me as I currently have to sit and watch the process - and it happens three times a day; that's kind of restricting.

Yesterday, for example, I popped out to do some Christmas shopping (for me and the wine rack mainly) and then popped to the beach for a paddle (as you do.)

As a result, I wasn't at home for the Early Bird ratings and, as Sod's Law would have it, they went wrong.

So, a few hours work today will mean some peace of mind for the future.

Anyway, enough of that, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 29.03%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 29.03%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 28.57% from all 35 Races (including previously unrated races.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 53.95 units returned to 92 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -41.36%

Top Rated Horse - There were 9 winners from the top rated horses from 31 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 23.49 units returned to 31 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -24.23%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 8 winners from the second rated horses from 31 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 28.73 units returned to 31 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -7.32%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 1 winners from the third rated horses from 30 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 1.73 units returned to 30 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -94.23%

Doctor's Waiting Room

receptionist2Yesterday I had an appointment to see the urologist for a prostate exam.

Of course I was a bit on edge because all my friends had either gone under the knife or had those pellets implanted.

The Waiting Room was filled with patients.

As I approached the receptionist's desk, I noticed that the receptionist was a large, unfriendly woman who looked like a Sumo wrestler.

I gave her my name.

In a very loud voice, the receptionist said,"YES, I HAVE YOUR NAME RIGHT HERE. YOU WANT TO SEE THE DOCTOR ABOUT IMPOTENCE, RIGHT?"

All the patients in the Waiting Room snapped their heads around to look at me, a now very embarrassed man.

But as usual, I recovered quickly, and in an equally loud voice replied,"NO. I'VE COME TO INQUIRE ABOUT A SEX CHANGE OPERATION, BUT I DON'T WANT THE SAME DOCTOR THAT DID YOURS."

The room erupted in applause!

Don't mess with old retired guys!

And one from me...

Words for the Wise

1 . Now that food has replaced sex in my life, I can't even get into my own pants.

2. Marriage changes passion. Suddenly you're in bed with a relative.

3. I saw a woman wearing a sweat shirt with "Guess" on it. So I said "Implants?" She hit me.

4. I don't do drugs. I get the same effect just standing up fast.

5. Sign in a Chinese Pet Store: "Buy one dog, get one flea..."

6. I live in my own little world. But it's OK. They know me here.

7. I got a sweater for Christmas. I really wanted a screamer or a moaner.

8. If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?

9. I don't approve of political jokes. I've seen too many of them get elected.

10. There are two sides to every divorce: Yours and Sh*thead's.

11. I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.

12. I am a nobody, and nobody is perfect; therefore, I am perfect.

13. Everyday I beat my own previous record for number of consecutive days I've stayed alive.

14. How come we choose from just two people to run for president and 50 for Miss America?

15. Isn't having a smoking section in a restaurant like having a peeing section in a swimming pool?

16. Why is it that most nudists are people you don't want to see naked?

17. Snowmen fall from Heaven unassembled.

18. Every time I walk into a singles bar I can hear Mom's wise words: "Don't pick that up, you don't know where it's been!"

19. A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn..that was fun!"
