Good morning...
Well. I'm struggling to find much to say about yesterday, so...
I'll just pass on it.
Today I am implementing some new code; this won't affect the ratings but will just make the site more resilient.
In theory it should all work first time but it won't come into effect until Sunday morning.
The early morning test ratings show If in Doubt as the top rated for the Hennessy Gold Cup - it's currently at 7/1.
Anyway, enough of that, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....
Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 20.59%.
Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 20.59%.
Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 22.22% from all 36 Races (including previously unrated races.)
The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 61.47 units returned to 101 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -39.14%
Top Rated Horse - There were 7 winners from the top rated horses from 34 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 23.76 units returned to 34 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -30.12%
2nd Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the second rated horses from 35 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 23.21 units returned to 35 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -33.69%
3rd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the third rated horses from 32 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 14.5 units returned to 32 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -54.69%

The Lift
As a concierge at a posh Nevada resort, I was often asked about the ski facilities.
One day a couple who had just checked in after a long flight came by and asked me where the lift was.
"Go down the hill," I told them, "out the door, past the pool, 200 yards down the block, and you'll see it on your right."
Their tired faces suddenly looked even more exhausted, until the man behind them spoke up.
"They're from England," he said. "I think they're looking for the elevator."
Today's early test ratings show 42 rated races from six meetings.
Have a great day's racing!
Once again, if you've got anything to say about Focus Ratings, please wander over to the Focus Ratings Review at Tipsters Review and have your say.
The income that we make from sign ups from that site keeps me in Red Wine and Smelly Cheese!
As always...
My kindest regards
