Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

We seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment.

I'm putting it down to the smaller field sizes.

Having said that, the high number of horses pulling up (or otherwise not finishing) should make the ratings less acurate.

Propensity to Finish will be a factor in R5.

From the 3 PBS selections we had 2 winners (horses that got placed) and, for the bog standard strategy, we have now made just under 32 points profit on 38 points staked in 13 days.

Anyway, that's by the way, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 35.29%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 33.33%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 31.58% from all 19 Races (including previously unrated races.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 54.63 units returned to 51 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, 7.12%

Top Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the top rated horses from 17 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 14.63 units returned to 17 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -13.94%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the second rated horses from 18 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 29.5 units returned to 18 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 63.89%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the third rated horses from 16 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 10.5 units returned to 16 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -34.37%

Something to make you laugh

Being 6 Again

A man asked his wife what she'd like for her birthday.

"I'd love to be six again," she replied.

On the morning of her birthday, he got her up bright and early and off they went to a local
theme park.

What a day!

He put her on every ride in the park: the Death Slide, the Screaming Loop, the Wall of Fear, everything there was! Wow!

Five hours later she staggered out of the theme park, her head reeling and her stomach upside down.

Right to a McDonald's they went, where her husband ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a refreshing chocolate shake.

Then it was off to a movie, the latest Star Wars epic, a hot dog, popcorn, soda, and M&Ms.

What a fabulous adventure!

Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed.

He leaned over and lovingly asked, "Well, dear, what was it like being six again?"

One bleary eye opened. "You idiot, I meant my dress size."

The moral of this story: Even when the man is listening, he's still gonna get it wrong.

Today

Every race is rated.

Have a great day's racing!
