Good morning...
Well, the feedback from the question that I asked yesterday seems to suggest that...
The warm (but wet) weather has meant soft or heavy goings rather than the harder goings that you might expect from a crisp frosty morning.
And that sort of ties in with January 2014 (when there were floods in Somerset, and elsewhere, I believe) where we got a strike rate of 28%.
Yesterday, we just scraped a 30% strike rate (for the top rated horse) but, although that might seem disappointing, it's quite acceptable to me.
Anyway, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....
Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 30.77%.
Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 28.57%.
Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 28.57% from all 14 Races (including previously unrated races.)
The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 22.71 units returned to 40 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -43.22%
Top Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the top rated horses from 13 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 12.69 units returned to 13 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -2.38%
2nd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the second rated horses from 14 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 10.02 units returned to 14 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -28.43%
3rd Rated Horse - There were 0 winners from the third rated horses from 13 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 0 units returned to 13 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -100%

The Diet
A blonde is terribly overweight, so her doctor put her on a diet. "I want you to eat regularly for 2 days, then skip a day, and repeat this procedure for 2 weeks. The next time I see you, you'll have lost at least 5 pounds."
When the blonde returned, she shocked the doctor by losing nearly 20 pounds.
"Why, that's amazing!" the doctor said, "Did you follow my instructions?"
The blonde nodded... "I'll tell you though, I thought I was going to drop dead that 3rd day."
"From hunger, you mean?", asked the doctor."
"No, from skipping."
Today's early test ratings show 13 rated races from two meetings.
Every race is rated.
I shall be spending some time, today, working on trying to speed up the System Selections as they seem to be taking longer and longer to produce.
Have a great day's racing!
