Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Well, there's not an awful lot that I can say about yesterday...

There were only 13 races and none of them looked very special to me.

Still, we hit an acceptable strike rate and,

Our one PBS selection came second and earned a profit.

Our Bankers Bet won at 5/1

I now have a dedicated monitor watching processes on the server as I am trying to speed up the System Selections.

Yesterday, the Systems Selections process started at 9:28 am and finished at 10:38 am.

I have identified thousands of systems that belong to people who are no longer members and I am in the process of deleting these. This will take some time as I have to double check each owner to ensure that I am not deleting live systems. This should speed up the systems selections process. I have also identified some code improvements that I can implement but I'll leave those until Sunday as I want to do it on a quiet day just in case it goes horribly wrong and I have to revert to the existing code.

So, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 23.08%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25% from all 12 Races (including previously unrated races.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 22 units returned to 39 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -43.59%

Top Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the top rated horses from 12 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 9.8 units returned to 12 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -18.33%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the second rated horses from 14 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 5.7 units returned to 14 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -59.29%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 1 winners from the third rated horses from 13 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 6.5 units returned to 13 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -50%

Something to make you laugh

A Woman Knows

A women accompanied her husband to the doctor's office. After his checkup, the doctor called the wife into his office alone. He said, "If you don't do the following, your husband will surely die:

1. Each morning , fix him a healthy breakfast.

2. Be pleasant and make sure he is in a good mood.

3. For lunch, make him a nutritious meal.

4. For dinner, prepare him an especially nice meal.

5. Don't burden him with chores as he probably had a hard day.

6. Don't discuss your problems with him."

On the way home, the husband asked his wife what the doctor said to her. "You're going to die," she replied.
