Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Well, it was a horrendous start to the day, yesterday.

After the first 3 races, I actually checked the code to see if I'd inadvertently changed anything.

But, we did manage to claw back some wins later on and...

We ended up with a strike rate that, although not good, wasn't too bad.

We're now running with a strike rate (for the top rated horse) of 32.54% for the month and I don't see how today can leave us with anything less than a 30% plus strike rate for the month.

And that'll be a first for Focus Ratings.

Anyway, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 27.27%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 26.47%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 26.47% from all 34 Races (including previously unrated races.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 60.22 units returned to 101 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -40.38%

Top Rated Horse - There were 9 winners from the top rated horses from 33 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 25.32 units returned to 33 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -23.27%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the second rated horses from 34 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 27.52 units returned to 34 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -19.06%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the third rated horses from 34 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 7.38 units returned to 34 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -78.29%

Something to make you laugh

Hot Dog

Two Irish nuns have just arrived in USA by boat and one says to the other, "I hear that the people in this country actually eat dogs."

"Odd," her companion replies, "but if we shall live in America, we might as well do as the Americans do."

Nodding emphatically, the mother superior points to a hot dog vendor and they both walk towards the cart.

"Two dogs, please," says one.

The vendor is only too pleased to oblige and he wraps both hot dogs in foil and hands them over the counter. Excited, the nuns hurry over to a bench and begin to unwrap their "dogs."

The mother superior is first to open hers. She begins to blush and then, staring at it for a moment, leans over to the other nun and whispers... cautiously: "What part did you get?"
