Good morning...
Another average day but...
Our PBS selections made a profit for the first time this month.
I'm guessing that the severe weather might make things difficult for the next couple of days but,
There's always the All Weather to fall back on.
Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....
Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25.93%.
Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 27.59%.
Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 20% from all 35 Races (including previously unrated races.)
The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 79.18 units returned to 82 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -3.44%
Top Rated Horse - There were 7 winners from the top rated horses from 27 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 21.91 units returned to 27 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -18.85%
2nd Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the second rated horses from 28 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 29.02 units returned to 28 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 3.64%
3rd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the third rated horses from 27 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 28.25 units returned to 27 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 4.63%

We made a profit of 4.5765 points on the day and have made a loss of 7.9225 points for February.
For the new strategy we made a profit of 1.746867 points on the day an have made a loss of 12.151455 points for February.
I have added a new section to the spreadsheet to indicate the results should we ignore the odds on selections.
For the refined strategy (the one that you should be using) we made a profit of 1.746867 points for the day and we have made a loss of 12.1515 points for February.

My daughter was absent yesterday because she was tired. She spent a weekend with the Marines.

Lizie was absent yesterday as she was having a gangover.

Maryann was absent December 11-16, because she had a fever, sore throat, headache and upset stomach. Her sister was also sick,
fever and sore throat, her brother had a low grade fever and ached all over. I wasn't the best either, sore throat and fever. There must be something going around, her father even got hot last night.
Today's early test ratings show 19 rated races from three meetings.
