Good morning...

Well, yesterday started well but sort of tailed off later in the day.

Still, the eventual strike rate (for the top rated horse) was better than my target of 30%.

Now, some of you may have noticed that the ratings came out rather early, this morning.

The ratings will come out at about 9:15am as usual and I'll delete the early ratings from the database.

I made some changes yesterday and on one of those changes I mixed up hours and minutes.

Anyway, embarrassed as I am, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 31.03%.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 67.63 units returned to 85 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -20.44%

Top Rated Horse - There were 9 winners from the top rated horses from 29 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 19.34 units returned to 29 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -33.31%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 7 winners from the second rated horses from 29 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 29.54 units returned to 29 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 1.86%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the third rated horses from 27 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 18.75 units returned to 27 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -30.56%

We made a profit of 0.71 points on the day and have made a profit of 3.97 points for February.

For the new strategy we made a profit of 1.64076 points on the day an have made a loss of 0.058308 points for February.

I have added a new section to the spreadsheet to indicate the results should we ignore the odds on selections.

For the refined strategy (the one that you should be using) we made a profit of 1.151244 points for the day and we have made a loss of 2.24486 points for February.

Alabama Preacher

An Alabama preacher said to his congregation, "Someone in this congregation has spread a rumor that I belong to the Ku Klux Klan.

This is a horrible lie and one which a Christian community cannot tolerate.

I am embarrassed and do not intend to accept this. Now, I want the party who did this to stand and ask forgiveness From God and this Christian Family."

No one moved.

The preacher continued, "Do you have the nerve to face me and admit this is a falsehood? Remember, you will be forgiven and in your heart you will feel glory. Now stand and confess your transgression."

Again all was quiet.

Then slowly, a drop-dead gorgeous blonde with a body that would stop traffic rose from the third pew.

Her head was bowed and her voice quivered as she spoke, "Reverend there has been a terrible misunderstanding.

I never said you were a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

I simply told a couple of my friends that you were a wizard under the sheets."

The preacher fell to his knees, his wife fainted, and the congregation roared!

Today's early test ratings show 33 rated races from five meetings.

Every race is rated.
