Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Well, a quiet day and...

Only average results.

Still, a 25% strike rate for the top rated horse is acceptable, if not that exciting.

Today also looks very quiet and I'm going to largely be spending the day frantically trying to get the start of R5 into place.

It'll either work or...

It won't.

It'll be one or the other.

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25% from all 20 Races (including previously unrated races.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 45 units returned to 55 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -18.18%

Top Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the top rated horses from 20 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 10.18 units returned to 20 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -49.1%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the second rated horses from 19 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 16.5 units returned to 19 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -13.16%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the third rated horses from 16 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 18.32 units returned to 16 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 14.5%

Something to make you laugh

A horse was looking over a fence watching a game of cricket.

"Any chance of a game?" he asked the captain.

At first the captain was taken aback by the talking horse, but when it insisted it was keen to play the skipper thought it might be a bit of a laugh if he sent the horse out as opening bat.

The horse shaped up to the first ball and slammed it over the boundary for six. He did the same with the second and third, indeed every ball he hit for six until the over ended.

He had been partnered by the captain, and when the bowler ran in from the other end and the captain managed his first hit for a meagre single he called for the horse to run.

But the horse just stood there.

Frantic calls by the captain to run were ignored and in the confusion the skipper was stumped out.

"Why didn't you run?" roared the captain.

"Listen mate," said the horse, "if I could run I would be at the racetrack today, not messing around with this bluddy stupid cricket game".

Today's early test ratings show 20 rated races from three meetings.

Every race is rated.
