Good morning...

I don't like Mondays!

I personally think that it's a silly racing day.

All the best racing has been done on the Saturday; the Sunday is, to my mind, a sneaky day but...

Mondays are tosh!

And, yesterday was no exception.

Our First Page Strategy only got one result from the 5 selections. Only 3.762 (after a 5% commission) was returned to 5 points staked.

For the Place Betting Strategy we lost a point but that might have been because we lost 2 out of the 3 races due to Tramore being waterlogged.

My new idea of blindly backing the top rated horse in all the first page races also didn't do so well.

From the 6 top rated races on the first page of the ratings we got 3.515 points returned (after a 5% commission) to 6 points staked.

However, if you had blindly backed every top rated horse (or every top three rated horse) in every race...

You so have made a profit.

So, it's not all bad.

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 31.58%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 30%.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 62.28 units returned to 57 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, 9.26%

Top Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the top rated horses from 19 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 24.41 units returned to 19 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 28.47%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the second rated horses from 20 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 15 units returned to 20 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -25%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the third rated horses from 18 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 22.87 units returned to 18 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 27.06%
