Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

An "interesting" day, yesterday.

I went out for lunch and, thus, missed the early races.

I got in to find that we hadn't had a single top rated winner from those races.

It wasn't until desperation sank in and I decided that "Beer O'Clock" might have to come early and I opened the a can of beer that the results started to improve.

Seriously...

I took my first swig of beer at about quarter to five (I'm an hour ahead of most of you guys); the next race was the 15:45 at Pontefract...

We got the reverse trifecta and our first top rated win of the day!

Is there a relationship between the two events?

Anyway, enough of my dreaming, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 27.03%.

Top Rated Horse - There were 10 winners from the top rated horses from 37 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 38.21 units returned to 37 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 3.27%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 7 winners from the second rated horses from 36 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 34.38 units returned to 36 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -4.5%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the third rated horses from 36 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 42.75 units returned to 36 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 18.75%

Something to make you laugh

Old Sparky

On a given night, 2 death row inmates are scheduled to be electrocuted on old sparky.

While one execution is in progress, the pastor administers to the other condemned man in his cell.

"Don't worry my son", says the pastor, "as soon as the high voltage reaches your brain, it numbs all your senses, so you won't feel a thing."

Suddenly some horrible screams are heard throughout the entire cell block.

The pastor immediately ask one of the guard "What is all this screaming about?"

"Not to worry pastor, we had a power failure, so we're finishing the first execution by candles."

Today

Today's early test ratings show 33 rated races from five meetings.

Have a great day's racing!

As always...

My kindest regards
