Good morning...

Not too much to say about yesterday.

Nothing stood out from the results and the overall strike rate wasn't too impressive.

The Live Ratings did slightly better but...

Overall, the strike rate for the first 20 days of May stands at 26.44% so I'm not too worried.

The early test ratings suggest the following for the Temple Stakes today...

1). Take Cover
2). Meccas Angel
3). Muthmir

Take Cover is 15/1 at Bet365 so, if I were risking a sixpence, I'd have an each way on that.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 112.74 units returned to 137 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -17.71%

Top Rated Horse - There were 11 winners from the top rated horses from 46 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 39.32 units returned to 46 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -14.52%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 11 winners from the second rated horses from 46 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 44.42 units returned to 46 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -3.43%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the third rated horses from 45 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 29 units returned to 45 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -35.56%

RARE BLOOD TYPE

An Arab Sheik was admitted to Hospital for heart surgery, but prior to the surgery, the doctors needed to have some of his blood type stored in case the need arose.

As the gentleman had an extremely rare type of blood that couldn't be found locally, the call went out around the world.

Finally a Scotsman was located who had the same rare blood type.

After some coaxing, the Scot donated his blood for the Arab.

After the surgery the Arab sent the Scotsman a new BMW, a diamond necklace for his wife, and $100,000 US dollars in appreciation for the blood donation.

A few months later, the Arab had to undergo a corrective surgery procedure.

Once again, his doctor telephoned the Scotsman who this time was more than happy to donate his blood.

After the second surgery, the Arab sent the Scotsman a thank-you card and a box of Quality Street Chocolates.

The Scotsman was shocked that the Arab did not reciprocate his kind gesture as he had anticipated.

He then phoned the Arab and asked him: "I thought you would be more generous than that - last time you sent me a BMW, diamonds and money, but this time you only sent me a lousy thank-you card and a crappy box of chocolates?"

To this the Arab replied: "Aye laddie, but I now have Scottish blood in me veins."
