Good morning...
A difficult day at Ascot yesterday but our second rated horse did win the Royal Hunt Cup @10/1 ISP.
And our 2nd rated horse won the Duke of Cambridge Stakes @ 9/4 ISP.
Our 3rd rated horse won the Sandringham Handicap @ 11/4 which means that six of the races were won by a Focus Ratings top three rated horse.
So, had you backed every top three rated horse in all six races at Ascot you would have had 22.496 points returned (after commission) to 18 points staked.
Which isn't much but...
A profit is a profit.
Apart from that, there's not much to report.
It was a funny day when nothing really stands out but...
Had you blindly backed the top rated horse in every race, you would have made a profit.
In fact, had you blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in every race you would also have made a profit.
Come to think of it, you could have backed every top three rated horse in every race and still ended up in profit.
Anyway, enough of that, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....
Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 23.08%.
Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 23.08%.
Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25% from all 40 Races (including previously unrated races.)
The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 120.34 units returned to 114 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, 5.56%
Top Rated Horse - There were 9 winners from the top rated horses from 39 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 43.46 units returned to 39 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 11.44%
2nd Rated Horse - There were 10 winners from the second rated horses from 37 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 55.63 units returned to 37 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 50.35%
3rd Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the third rated horses from 38 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 21.25 units returned to 38 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -44.08%

Who's in Charge?
All of the organs are deciding who should be in charge:
"I should be in charge," said the brain, "I run all the body's systems, without me nothing would happen."
"I should be in charge," said the heart, "I circulate oxygen and nutrients all over."
"No! I should be in charge," said the stomach, "I process the food that gives us energy."
"I should be in charge," said the legs, "without me the body couldn't go anywhere."
"I should be in charge," said the eyes, "I allow the body to see where it goes."
"I should be in charge," said the anus, "I am responsible for waste removal."
All of the other body parts laughed at the anus and insulted him.
So he shut down. Within a few days, the brain had a terrible headache, the stomach was bloated, the legs got wobbly, the eyes got watery, and the heart pumped toxic blood.
They all decided that the anus should be the boss.
What is the moral of the story?
Even though everybody else does all of the work the ass hole is usually in charge.
Sex Education
My teenage daughter came home in a rage.
"I’ve just done sex education in school today, Dad! You lied to me! You told me if I have sex before my sixteenth birthday, my boyfriend will die!"
I put down my paper: "Oh, he will, sweetheart, he will.”
Today's early test ratings show 39 rated races from six meetings.
Have a great day's racing!
As always...
My kindest regards
