Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Another reasonable day for the ratings at Ascot, yesterday.

We got 3 winners (from the top three rated horses) from for the six races.

The big race of the day (the Diamond Jubilee Stakes) was won by our 2nd rated horse.

Both our First Page Strategy and our Place Betting Strategy made small profits and...

There were plenty of high priced winners from our top three rated horses.

Following advice from one member, I am going to start showing statistics for the non-handicap races.

From the 23 non-handicap races there were 6 top rated winners and 1 non runner.

12 of the 23 races were won by a top three rated horse.

Anyway, it was a very competitive day and not typical for non-handicap races so, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 25%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 24.56%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 24.56% from all 57 Races (including previously unrated races.)

2nd Rated Horse - There were 10 winners from the second rated horses from 50 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 59 units returned to 50 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 18%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 8 winners from the third rated horses from 53 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 41.75 units returned to 53 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -21.23%

Something to make you laugh

Damned Old Age!

A couple in their nineties are BOTH having problems remembering things.

They decide to go to the doctor for a checkup.

The doctor tells them that they're physically in good condition for their age, but if they are having trouble remembering they might want to start writing things down to help them.

Later that night while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair. "Where are you going?" his wife asks.

"To the kitchen," he replies.

"Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?"

"Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?" she asks, recalling the doctor's suggestion.

"No, I can remember it."

"Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. You'd better write it down because you know you'll forget it."

He says, "I can remember that! You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries."

"I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, so you'd better write it down!" she retorts.

Irritated, he says, "I don't need to write it down. Just don't start with that! Leave me alone!! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream. I got it, for goodness sake!" Then he grumbles on into the kitchen.

After about 20 minutes, the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs.

She stares at the plate for a moment and says, "Where's my toast?"

Today's early test ratings show 27 rated races from four meetings.

Have a great day's racing!

As always...

My kindest regards
