Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Yesterday seemed to be a day of near misses.

As can be seen by the high number of combination tricasts and reverse forecasts.

However, in the non-handicap races we did pretty well...

With a strike rate of 46.15% in the non-handicap races you would have made 38.62% profit on investment by blindly backing the top rated horse in every non-handicap race.

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 23.68%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 20.93%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 22.92% from all 48 Races (including previously unrated races.)

Top Rated Horse - There were 9 winners from the top rated horses from 38 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 31.77 units returned to 38 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -16.39%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 11 winners from the second rated horses from 44 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 34.3 units returned to 44 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -22.05%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the third rated horses from 40 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 26.8 units returned to 40 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -33%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 13 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 6 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 46.15%

Something to make you laugh

One from Dave C.

Not Hungry?

A woman asks her husband at breakfast time, "Would you like some bacon and eggs, a slice of toast, and maybe some grapefruit juice and coffee?"

He declines.

"Thanks for asking, but, I'm not hungry right now. - It's this Viagra," he says. "It's really taken the edge off my appetite."

At lunchtime, she asks him if he'd like something.

"How about a bowl of soup, homemade muffins, or a cheese sandwich?"

He declines. "The Viagra," he says, "really trashes my desire for food."

Come dinner time, she asks if he wants anything to eat.

"Would you like a juicy rib eye steak and some scrumptious apple pie? - Or maybe a rotisserie chicken, or tasty stir fry?"

He declines again. "No," he says, "it's got to be the Viagra. I'm still not hungry."

"Well," she says, "Would you mind getting off me? I'm starving...."

Today

Today's early test ratings show 55 rated races from eight meetings.

Have a great day's racing!

As always...

My kindest regards
