Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Apart from a great start at Cheltenham (two forecasts in the first two races), there isn't too much that I can say about yesterday.

Sure, the overall strike rate for the top rated horse was good and you would have made a profit of just over 22% on your stakes had you blindly backed that horse in every race and...

In the non-handicap races you would have made a profit of 31% on your stakes had you blindly backed the top rated horse in those races.

But I've been a bit engrossed in implementing some bug fixes.

As a result, the site may be a bit slow today and tomorrow between 10am and 4pm as I run some scripts to nsure that the Going and Class Wins and Places are accurate.

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 34.29%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 32.43%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 34.21% from all 38 Races (including previously unrated races.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 71.5 units returned to 108 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -33.8%

Top Rated Horse - There were 12 winners from the top rated horses from 35 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 44.55 units returned to 35 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 27.29%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 5 winners from the second rated horses from 36 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 22.62 units returned to 36 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -37.17%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 1 winners from the third rated horses from 37 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 4.33 units returned to 37 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -88.3%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 15 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 6 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 40%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 19.7 units returned to 15 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, 31.33%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 15 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 9 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 60%

RETIRED HUSBAND

I have to admit that I used to do the first one - only stopped when one day I realised that I'd put a Value Pack of condoms into a trolly being used by a couple of nuns who were doing their weekly shopping in ASDA in Beckton.

I might also admit (but only under torture) that when I come across English speaking tourists in my local supermarket, I do feel this uncontrollable urge to scratch my genitals and pick at my bottom - just so that they can go home and complain about how disgusting the French locals are.

And, am I the only person in the world who thinks that a shopping trolley needs to be skidded around corners (with sound effects) as though it was a rally car?

After retiring, George's wife insisted that he accompany her on her trips out shopping.

Unfortunately, like most men, George found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out.

Equally unfortunate, his wife is like most women - she loves to browse..

Yesterday his wife received the following letter from the local TESCO:

Dear Mrs. Hume

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store.

We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Harris, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras:

(1.) January 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.

(2.) February 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

(3.) February 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

(4.) February 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice,'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'..

This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. We don't have a Code 3.

(5.) March 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layby

(6.) March 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

(7.) March 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.

(8.) March 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called.

(9.) April 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

(10.) April 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

(11.) April 23: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the ' Mission Impossible' theme.

(12.) May 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' using different sizes of funnels.

(13...) May 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'

(14.) May 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'

(15.) June 5: Took a box of condoms to the checkout clerk and asked where is the fitting room?
And last, but not least:

(16.) June 14: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, and then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.

A few from Lee...
