Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Another good day, yesterday.

The stand out for me was that we got the forecast in the first race of the day (and, as a result, had you blindly done the forecast in every race, you would have made a profit on the day) which seems to happen quite often.

Today I'm going to take a look at forecasts in the early non-handicap races.

I know that I took a look at predicting forecasts just over a year ago but I now think that it's time to re-visit it.

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 30%.

Yesterday's Live Ratings, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 30%.

Yesterday's - Link to Follow - results for All Races (including previously unrated races), show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 27.27% from all 22 Races (including previously unrated races.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 44.07 units returned to 60 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -26.55%

Top Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the top rated horses from 20 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 17.99 units returned to 20 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -10.05%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the second rated horses from 21 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 13.33 units returned to 21 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -36.52%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the third rated horses from 19 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 12.75 units returned to 19 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -32.89%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 7 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 3 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 42.86%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 5.24 units returned to 7 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -25.14%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 7 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 4 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 57.14%

Something to make you smile...

Cold Water

John went to visit his 90 year old grandfather in a very secluded, rural area of Georgia.

After spending a great evening chatting the night away, John's grandfather prepared breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast. However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate, and questioned his grandfather asking, "Are these plates clean?"

His grandfather replied, "They're as clean as cold water can get them.

Just you go ahead and finish your meal, Sonny!"

For lunch the old man made hamburgers. Again, John was concerned about the plates as his appeared to have tiny specks around the edge that looked like dried egg and asked, "Are you sure these plates are clean?"

Without looking up the old man said, "I told you before, Sonny, those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them. Now don't you fret, I don't want to hear another word about it!"

Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby town and as he was leaving, his grandfather's dog started to growl, and wouldn't let him pass. John yelled and said, "Grandfather, your dog won't let me get to my car".

Without diverting his attention from the football game he was watching on TV, the old man shouted ... "COLDWATER, GO LAY DOWN!!!!"
