Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

A great strike rate yesterday which gives us a strike rate for the month of over 33%.

I was hoping to have a day off today (it being Sunday) but I need to implement some new code to remedy the issue with the missing races and occasionally empty early bird preview ratings.

As a result, I may be sending out test Early Bird Ratings at various times during the afternoon please ignore any but the 5pm ones.

I am using this new code for the 2am test ratings and they have shown 20 rated races and 1 unrated race from the 21 actual races today - so far so good.

Once the problem is fixed I shall explain in detail but it does seem that, after the server upgrade last month (when these problems seemed to start), the server is now running to fast for my limited Betfair Application Programmers Interface - I am allowed 100 data requests a second but the server is trying for more - thus data seems to be getting missed.

For more detail, here are the results in the Traffic Light Results PDF format... Yesterday's Traffic Light Results

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Something to make you smile...

A Cold Charity Case
A local charity had never received a donation from the town’s banker, so the director made a phone call.

“Our records show you make $500,000 a year, yet you haven’t given a penny to charity,” the director began.

“Wouldn’t you like to help the community?”

The banker replied, “Did your research show that my mother is ill, with extremely expensive medical bills?”

“Um, no,” mumbled the director.

“Or that my brother is unemployed?

Or that my sister’s husband left, leaving her broke with four kids?”

“I … I … I had no idea.”

“So,” said the banker, “if I don’t give them any money, why would I give any to you?”

Today

Today's early test ratings show 20 rated races from three meetings.

One race is shown as unrated.

Have a great day's racing!

As always...

My kindest regards
