Good morning...
This will just be a very quick morning news today as...
a). I have overslept (again!!!!) and
b). I have got an incredible amount of work to do on the Speed Ratings today and need to start number crunching as soon as I can.
So, here goes....
Yesterday was yet another wonderful day when you could have blindly backed every top three rated horse and made a level stakes profit.
I don't really know how to explain it but...
The process that creates the ratings is partly self-learning.
Almost two years ago I was happy to launch Focus Ratings because the results were pretty decent.
Now, two years later, the logic engine behind the ratings has learned from its mistakes and has two years more data to base its calculations on.
As a result,
Yesterday, if you had blindly backed every top three rated horse (to £1 stakes), it would have cost you £39 and you'd have had £66 returned.
There were 2 Forecasts; if you had done the £1 forecast on every race it would have cost you £15 and you'd have had £20.77 returned.
If you'd have backed every (all two of them) unique Jockey and Trainer combination, it would have cost you £2 and you'd have got £13 back.
The good news aside, let's look at yesterday's results in more detail....
Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 26.67%.
I'm pretty chuffed about that.
Forecasts
There were two forecasts yesterday.
Leopardstown 12:50 - The CSF paid £16.27
Leopardstown 13:20 - The CSF paid £4.50
Tricasts/Trifectas
There were no tricasts/trifecta yesterday.
Winners
From the 15 rated races there were 10 winners (from the top 3 rated horses) - six of those were at nice prices.
Course | Time | Horse | ISP | BSP |
Leopardstown | 12:50 | Golan Road | 6.0 | 6.6 |
Kempton | 13:05 | Swendab | 8.0 | 9.13 |
Leopardstown | 14:20 | Foxrock | 7.0 | 8.8 |
Kempton | 14:35 | Mountain Range | 5.5 | 6.28 |
Leopardstown | 14:50 | Katie T | 13.0 | 17.0 |
Kempton | 15:05 | Jolly Red Jeanz | 9.0 | 12.5 |
There was neither a Banker's Bet nor a Chancer's Bet yesterday.
On the Portfolio Page there is now a link to the Banker's Bet Proofing Page and, also to the Chancer's Bet proofing page.
You may subscribe to my Portfolio. To do so, you need to go to your Members Page and change option 4 on the Your Profile bit.
If you haven't subscribed, the button will say Yes - just click on it and you'll be signed up.
Today's 6am ratings show 19 races from 3 meetings.
I'm not going to do any analysis today as I really need to get on with the Speed Ratings.
Have a great day's racing!
Once again, if you've got anything to say about Focus Ratings, please wander over to Focus Ratings Review and have your say.
As always...
My kindest regards
