Result!

We've got results again.

I'm sorry about the lack of results over the last week but I've been busy sorting out problems/issues with the underlying code of the site.

Part of the problem is that, when I started Focus Ratings, it was a very simple site.

Over the years people have asked for additions and I have added them.

This has kind of made the code a bit messy and I have been trying to sort it out.

I really wanted to start the Flat season with everything done but that was a big ask.

I still need to go back and update the last week's results and will do that today and tomorrow.

There are also some other issues to resolve; they'll get done over the next week.

So, what about yesterday...

Well, the overall results don't look so good but what a great start to the day.

Look at the first page of the Traffic Lights Results report...

From the first 7 races we got 4 winners.

Starting off with a nice 16/1 (24.00 BSP) winner in the first race.

It hasn't escaped my notice that, had you stuck to the non handicap races yesterday, you would have had a 25% strike rate (for the top rated horse) but would have made a 65% profit on your stakes.

For more detail, here are the results in the Traffic Light Results PDF format... Yesterday's Traffic Light Results

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Justin & Christian

Far away in the tropical waters of the Caribbean, two prawns were swimming around in the sea - one called Justin & the other called Christian.

The prawns were constantly being harassed & threatened by sharks that inhabited the area. Finally one day Justin said to Christian, "I'm fed up with being a prawn, I wish I was a shark, then I wouldn't have any worries about being eaten."

A large mysterious cod appeared & said, "Your wish is granted" & lo & behold, Justin turned into a shark.

Horrified, Christian immediately swam away, afraid of being eaten by his old mate.

Time passed (as it invariably does) & Justin found life as a shark boring & lonely. All his old mates simply swam away whenever he came close to them. Justin didn't realise that his new menacing appearance was the cause of his sad plight.

While swimming alone one day he saw the mysterious cod again & he thought perhaps the mysterious fish could change him back into a prawn. He approached the cod & begged to be changed back, & lo & behold, he found himself turned back into a prawn.

With tears of joy in his tiny little eyes Justin swam back to his friends & bought them all a cocktail.

Looking around the gathering at the reef he realised he couldn't see his old pal. "Where's Christian?" he asked.

"He's at home, still distraught that his best friend changed sides to the enemy & became a shark",came the reply.

Eager to put things right again & end the mutual pain & torture, he set off to Christian's abode.

As he opened the coral gate memories came flooding back. He banged on the door & shouted, "It's me, Justin, your old friend, come out & see me again."

Christian replied,"No way man, you'll eat me. You're now a shark, the enemy, & I'll not be tricked into being your dinner."

Justin cried back "No, I'm not. That was the old me. I've changed....

I've found Cod. I'm a Prawn again Christian."

Today

Today's early test ratings show 29 rated races from four meetings.

Every race is rated.

Have a great day's racing!

As always...

My kindest regards
