Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Well, a bit of a strange day with Plumpton being abandoned and...

What was a quiet day's racing to start with, became even quieter.

We only got 3 top rated winners from the 13 remaining races.

In the 9 horse handicap hurdle at Ayr (14:15), Too Many Chefs won @ 4/1 ISP (5.40 BSP)

In the 18:40 at Wolves, Watersmeet won at 11/2 ISP (8.51 BSP) and...

In the 19:10 at Wolves, Mount Tahan won at evens (2.02 BSP.)

Thus 13.5 points were returned to 13 points staked (to ISP) leaving us with a small profit on stakes of 3.84%.

To BSP, 15.13 points were returned (after a 5% commission was deducted) to 13 points staked. Thus, the profit on stakes (to BSP) was 16.41%.

Now, I know that the strike rate might not seem too impressive...

Especially after the last few days,

14/01/18 Strike rate = 39.98%
13/01/18 Strike rate = 41.46%
12/01/18 Strike rate = 30.30%
11/01/18 Strike rate = 41.18%

But a wise man once told me that...

Strike Rate is just Vanity,
It's Profits that count!

For those of you on a 7 Days Free Trial, I know that the ratings may look intimidating,

With the 1001 different ratings formats (perhaps I exaggerate slightly)...

But a quick browse of the articles that I have written might show some suitable strategies for using the ratings.

Have a play with the Builder and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Today's racing looks pretty similar to yesterday's racing but, hopefully with one more meeting.

General Conversations

Useful phrases when dealing with the general population. Try to incorporate these into your conversations . . .

Thank you. We're all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view.

I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.

I have plenty of talent and vision. I just don't give a damn.

I like you. You remind me of when I was young and stupid.

I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant.

I'm already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.

Ahhh...I see the f*ck-up fairy has visited us again...

Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.

How about never? Is never good for you?

I'm really easy to get along with once you people learn to worship me.

Are you a ray of sunshine every day?

I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.

I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

It might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy.

At least I have a positive attitude about my destructive habits.

I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.

Today

Today's early test ratings show 22 rated races from three meetings.

Have a great day's racing!

As always...

My kindest regards
