Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Well, yesterday was certainly a day for Forecasts and Trifectas.

I've listed them below.

Looking at the ratings first thing in the morning I thought that it would be a quiet day but, boy was I wrong?

A 40% strike rate (for the top rated horse) isn't anything to sniff about and, had you blindly backed every top rated horse (not something that I would recommend) you would have made a profit of 56.52% on your stakes (to ISP.)

The standouts for me, yesterday, was the 14:20 at Fairyhouse; a 28 runner race and we got the first three in the right order.

Also, the 16:45 at Ffos Las - we got the forecast and it paid £158.52 to a £1 stake. That must have been some race as 6 out of the 14 runners Pulled Up.

The new R6 Plus ratings didn't do so well but that's only to be expected as they seem to do better with higher quality racing.

However, they did manage a 31.25% strike rate and a POI (Profit on Investment) of 30.43% (to ISP.)

Childhood Sweethearts

An elderly couple who were childhood sweethearts had married & settled down in their old neighborhood.

To celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary they walk down to their old school. There, they hold hands as they find the desk they shared & where he had carved "I love you, Sally".

On their way back home, a bag of money falls out of an armoured car practically at their feet. She quickly picks it up, & they don't know what to do with it so they take it home. There, she counts the money, & its fifty-thousand dollars.

The husband says: "We've got to give it back".

She says, "Finders keepers" & puts the money back in the bag & hides it up in their attic.

The next day, two FBI men are going from door-to-door in the neighbourhood looking for the money show up at their home.

One knocks on the door & says: "Pardon me, but did either of you find any money that fell out of an armoured car yesterday?"

She says: "No"..

The husband says: "She's lying. She hid it up in the attic."

She says: "Don't believe him, he's getting senile."

But the agents sit the man down & begin to question him.

One says: "Tell us the story from the beginning."

The old man says: "Well, when Sally & I were walking home from school yesterday..."

At this, the FBI guy looks at his partner & says: "We're outta here ..."
